Charlotte & Dan's high-fashion London city wedding

Charlotte and Dan married in November 2025, choosing London as the backdrop for their intimate and editorially styled wedding. With a small guest list, meaningful locations and a clear creative vision, the day unfolded at a gentle pace, allowing every detail to shine through - from Charlotte’s striking autumnal bouquet to the quiet, atmospheric spaces they chose to celebrate in.

It was a wedding full of confident, stylish elements, taking place in the city they love and shaped by their incredible sense of style.

Bridal preparations at Hoxton Southwark

Bridal preparations took place at the Hoxton Southwark, a design-led hotel known for its warm interiors, mid-century influences and relaxed luxury feel. The light-filled rooms (a blessing for any makeup artist) provided the perfect setting for a calm and unrushed morning.

Charlotte, a talented wedding and events floral designer, brought her creative eye to every detail. She designed her own bouquet using rich, dark autumnal blooms, adding depth and drama that felt perfectly in tune with the season and the city setting.

With her background in modelling and a love of high fashion, luxe styling and alternative, gothic-inspired details, her bridal look was always going to be something really special!

Modern glowing bridal makeup with editorial definition

For Charlotte’s makeup, the focus was on modern, luminous skin paired with soft but defined eye makeup. I used Haus Labs Foundation to create a fresh, glowing base, layered with Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter for radiance. The eyes were kept matte and sculpted using the Patrick Ta Major Dimensions palette, adding definition without overpowering the look.

A cream blush from Nudestix brought warmth and softness to the complexion, while the lips were finished with a berry-toned nude liner and lipstick from Beauty Pie: one of Charlotte’s own favourites. The overall effect felt polished and editorial; timeless bridal beauty with a contemporary edge.

Ceremony at Asylum Chapel

The ceremony took place at the iconic Asylum Chapel in Peckham, a deconsecrated Victorian chapel celebrated for its weathered walls, stained glass and romantic, timeworn beauty. The raw textures and historic atmosphere created a striking contrast to Charlotte’s refined styling, making the space feel even more dramatic.

Charlotte wore the Mandala veil by Grace Loves Lace, which featured delicate lace edging - a statement choice that felt high fashion yet classic. It framed her look beautifully, adding elegance that juxtaposed the chapel’s character perfectly.

Hair styling and November weather

Hair was styled by Hollie Parsons, who created soft, romantic waves using clip-in hair extensions to add thickness, length and longevity. With rain falling on and off throughout the day, the added structure ensured the style held beautifully from morning through to evening - a thoughtful choice for a November wedding.

Intimate reception at Brunswick House

Following the ceremony, guests travelled to Brunswick House for an intimate dinner and drinks with close friends and family. This historic Georgian mansion, known for its eclectic interiors, antique-filled rooms and candlelit atmosphere, offered a richly layered setting that echoed the couple’s love of character.

The warm, celebratory atmosphere carried the day effortlessly into the evening. A perfect end to a perfect day!
